Enjoyed my visit here on a quiet Friday afternoon. We ordered the burrata and spicy prawns to start, and the pappardelle with beef and rigatoni with fennel sausage for mains. All of which were very nice and look forward to visiting again soon.

I’ve been eating at this place for a few months now when only selling pasta dishes , since the amazing expansion they are now selling pizzas and honestly the pizza was amazing . The pizza was flavoursome and not soggy im the middle , the crust was perfect and the taste was very satisfying … it’s a must try if ever in tooting market .. see you soon guys and also forgot to mention the staff . Super friendly and very welcoming … all round definitely a 10/10

Absolutely incredible experience! The chef truly outdid themselves — the pasta was beyond amazing, fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. You can tell it was made with passion and authentic Italian skill. One of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had. Compliments to the chef!

Visited while down from Norwich for a gig in Camden. It was worth the tube ride down to Tooting for this lovely Italian in Tooting market. It was fairly quiet (as you'd expect on a cold Sunday at the beginning of January), but the host made us really welcome. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Food was lovely, flavoursome and arrived in good time. On the face of it, some people would call it "simple" but that would be a disservice - you can tell love and pride has gone into the prep of every sauce and combination of each ingredient for the dishes (not to mention the pasta itself - made on site). All very reasonably priced too. We look forward to returning!

Nice to see an Italian restaurant launched. At one time everywhere had Italian Trattorias but then eating pasta wasn't something you did at home. The closest I remember is tinned spaghetti hoops on toast. Back to the review. Another place recommended by the darling daughter. On cool Friday afternoon you can't do much about atmosphere. The food is excellent. I had the Rigatoni with fennel sausage. The daughter had the Spaghetti carbonara. Both tasted really good and very decent sized portions. Starters were olives and, after a delay, Aranchi Ragu. Pushed out the boat and had a bottle of wine (yes it was lunchtime but I used to work in the city) which was £29 for the cheapest red. Interesting that like a lot of places there's no service charge these days. I like to tip good service, it was excellent, and don't if it's bad. So I did tip. I like Vermicelli. I think you will. So give it a try.

The best pasta in London!!! ⭐ We discovered Vermicelli two years ago and continue to come back regularly as the food and staff are amazing! Portion sizes are generous and the menu is very reasonably priced. We bring all our friends and family to Vermicelli and they all love it too. If you’re after some classic Italian dishes that are delicious (freshly made pasta too), I couldn’t recommend them enough!!

Vermicelli is definitely a shining light in an area that is quickly becoming the food Mecca of South London. Nestled in the always busy Tooting Market you’ll find an Italian restaurant serving up wood fire pizza and an excellent selection of pasta dishes. Everything you love or crave from Italian cuisine, you’ll more than likely find it on their menu. Food is served fresh and it’s refreshing to see an open kitchen where you can see the work being done. The quality of food is high when compared to Italian restaurants at other food markets. The seating arrangement is confined yet intimate even with so much background noise and activity. On a busy Friday night, it was clear to see that Vermicelli is one of the most popular spots for a reason. With all that being said, it was a great shame that the service was extremely poor. It took 10 minutes for us to get our food ordered and our cutlery came just as soon as the food was served. I understand being extremely busy on a Friday night but service is king. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of attention to the customer needs/requests. Once I our food was served I asked for two small plates so we could share each meal. It felt like an eternity before our waitress came with the plates and by the time she came, we already started sharing our food. Once again, the food is well worth the trip for quality and price point alone. However, the lack of consistency with service may refrain me from full enjoying what Vermicelli can offer.
